X Japan is a Jrock/metal band. I guessed many of you guys should know their history by now as they started out in the 80s and released their first studio album in 1988 when I was only 4 years old and the world looked so much more innocent and beautiful then.
Come 2010, screw that! World is shit, human beings make me sick and the way we kill the world and justify it by fattening the wallets of big corporation high earners while we peons work so hard to get them the high they take for daily bread.

However, just when I looked deeper into the darkness and insanity, X Japan turned up! Or rather, I discovered their music and their music is awesome, somewhere along progressive rock/metal, power metal and symphonic metal. Now I know why some of my friends are such die hard fans… It’s alright because it’s still not too late. X Japan recently reunited and will be releasing an album in Fall 2011… However, hide (Hideto Matsumoto) is no longer around… Your fans will miss you!
Tonight, I wanna share this wonderful song, I.V. with you guys (I know you guys are a small number and I’ve been a lousy blogger). They made this song for the movie Saw 4 as the theme song. For those who watched the movie, maybe you can verify this. The first video is the studio version and if you watched carefully, there are scenes of a guitar hanging from a stand. That is to symbolize and represent hide’s presence in the band. A very respectful way to remember a member so well loved by many in Japan and all over the world.
And check out the concert version below. I love the opening of the song with Yoshiki playing the piano and Toshi’s soulful vocals. Touched me very deeply.
